Events Policy

Our Leaders spend a great deal of time and energy organising events and camps throughout the year. Chasing people to sign up for an event, or reorganising when people cancel places, causes us a massive amount of extra work. All our leaders are volunteers and do not have time to deal with these issues.

Booking

When an event or camp is advertised please check that your child wishes to attend and sign up on OSM before the deadline. You will then receive a prompt to pay either the full cost or a deposit to secure your child’s place. Payment must be received before the deadline, unless you have been given authorisation from your child’s leader, otherwise the place will be lost. Do not ask to book after the deadline. All additional payments must be paid on time, unless authorise by your child’s leader.

Cancelation by us

If there are insufficient children booked to take part in an event or camp on the deadline the event may be cancelled. If this happens or if the event is cancelled by outside agencies, any monies paid will be refunded.

Canceling your child's place

If you decide to cancel your child’s place after the initial deadline please note that; • all deposits are non refundable. • 1 month or more before the event we will endeavour to refund any additional monies, above the deposit) we have not yet paid out, or committed to paying out. • less than 1 month before the event we will not refund any monies paid, and you may still need to make a final payment. • Your child will not be invited to book a place at the next similar activity. i.e. camp for camp or event for event.
